Songwriters 'in the Round':
SONG CIRCLE': An intimate evening with three top Seattle singer-songwriters. Fae Wiedenhoeft, Sam Russell and David Guilbault will be sharing the stage and trading soulful songs and stories. Come enjoy live, local, original music the way it is meant to be heard, in a welcoming community listening room at The Stone Way Cafe on Friday, November 20th at 7:30 pm.
Fae Wiedenhoeft fronts SeaStar, a band that performs an original unique blend of Celtic Folk to fans around the world. Her music has been described as a blend of both the old and the new, the tranquil and the passionate, the dramatic and the playful. Performing solo for this show, Fae will be reaching into her extensive repertoire of compelling songs.
Sam Russell encompasses a wide gambit of rock n' roll and folk stylings. With his band The Teen Soul Explosion, he fuses 50's doo-wop, 60's soul & 80's new-wave. When playing solo, he strips these elements to a quiet hush to make the songs and voice tap into a much older tradition of what one person and a guitar can do.
Seattle singer-songwriter David Guilbault writes, records and performs soulful music of life, love and loss - heartfelt songs that live in the truth. David is in the process of releasing six 6-song EP's this year, the first four being "True," "Bare," "Open" and "Here," all available on BandCamp.
