SONG CIRCLE: An intimate evening with three top Seattle singer-songwriters performing 'in the round.' Tai Shan, Peter Spencer and David Guilbault will be sharing the stage and trading soulful songs and stories. Come enjoy live, local, original music the way it is meant to be heard, in a welcoming community listening room at The Stone Way Cafe on Friday, February 19th at 7:30 pm.
City Arts magazine raves, "Tai Shan's music is like hugging a total stranger - kind of awkward and totally wonderful." She has been described as sounding like John Mayer and Jack Johnson with the voice of Joni Mitchell. Her clear soprano voice and complex guitar melodies have been featured on nationally released CD's, international videos and local TV and radio stations.
Peter Spencer is a fingerpicking guitarist whose songs are a virtuosic combination of folk, blues, and world music. He teaches voice and guitar at Dusty Strings and tours in North America and Europe. Peter has been called a "guitar wizard" by Seattle's Victory Music News and "a gifted lyricist with a sharp eye' by the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
Seattle singer-songwriter David Guilbault writes, records and performs soulful music of life, love and loss - heartfelt songs that live in the truthDavid is recording the body of his work, beginning with a series of 10 six-song EP's that are being released digitally on BandCamp. David invites you to help his music find its way into the world.
