Americana trio Cosmo’s Dream sings original tales of foggy-mountain megamalls, trailer-park guns and guitars, big black cats, Iditarod sled dogs, rising rivers, grandmas online, dark days ahead, beautiful beer, and Superman’s dilemma. This Tacoma-based trio, which features Gen Obata on flatpick guitar and mandolin, Steve Nebel on guitar, and Kristi Nebel on bass, blends acoustic musicianship with solo vocals and dynamic three-part harmonies. The trio toured from Tacoma to St. Louis in February 2016 with the first Cosmo’s Dream CD, Big Sky Blues, and will be touring the United Kingdom in August 2016.
"We truly appreciated your combination of musicianship and storytelling - blending wonderful music with humor and memoir." - Shauna Arnold, Cascade Cultural Arts Center.
"All the songs were amazing, funny, heartfelt... Who knew that a song about a mall in the hills of Tennessee could be that good. It was a great evening, one that I truly enjoyed. 3 adults of questionable age, playing like they were kids...Look past the grey hair, they are damned good." -David Stradal, St. Louis, MO.
