Blakely's musical journey began in 2005 in the valley's of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas with Jazz and Blues.
Her first band was formed in Tulum, Quintana Roo calledLaFemi rooted in Funk, Reggae and Soul.
She formed a duo Neo-Soul band with Chilean bassist and producer Hugo Vera Solari called Solburst (2010). Their albumNatural High was played on air in Spain, Japan, the UK + Cuba.
She sang backup for two years for Mexico's pop singer Kalimba + worked on various collaborations with artists such as Lengualerta, Tiano Bless, Bocafloja, Sonex + Gas-Lab.
In 2012 she released her first solo album, Reset about the reprogramming of both heart + mind in order to begin to nourish herself from a more empty space. The album got airtime in over 20 different college cities nationwide (US) and won the PLMA award (Premios a la Musica Independiente de Latinoamerica) for best Hip Hop album in Latin America in 2013.
Upon her return to the USA, after 11 years abroad in Mexico, she has claimed musical autonomy by picking up the guitar + voyaging through folk sounds.
