Modern Daze consists of 5 marching band geeks who originally formed the indie rock outfit, “The Buddy System”. After a 6 year hiatus, they’ve come back with a new lineup and new style since the fall of 2018 as Modern Daze and are working on a debut EP set for release in 2019. Their sound draws on linear drumming, heavy reverb, and spacey effects combined with abstract lyricism to create a melodic style of ambient funk pop.

The Seven Eighths is a group of friends who play music together, usually around seven or eight o’clock. With inspirations from Haitus Kaiyote to D’Angelo to Ariana Grande, we vibe with what vibes and then make up the rest. Lyric topics include: stuff we found in a thrift store, capitalism, getting your heart crushed, and the disco. In its spare time, The Seven Eighths enjoys sharing music on the group chat while at work, knitting, and spending time in the great outdoors.
